World Class Manufacturing
– A Pragmatic Definition

John has studied World Class Manufacturing since 1973 in a wide variety of industries, but has been unable to find a documented definition. Many reference some of the elements: 5S, set-up reduction, cellular manufacturing, preventative maintenance and so forth. There are definition for ISO, the Shingo Prize, Industry Week Best Plants, Class-A, and others. But not a universal definition for WCM. To fill this void, John will provide the framework for a WCM definition that you can use in your company to create a measurable and pragmatic vision of where your company is going.
